Though I haven’t had the chance to read through this post, I can’t help quoting his/her words on STL, so they could be shared by more people out there:
… when you first encounter it (ed: STL), makes you wonder what the hell the designer was smoking. And once you’ve gotten used to it, you start wondering why other library designers don’t start smoking the same thing.
