Copy-and-Paste Between Emacs and Other Applications

如果你有過在 Emacs 與其他的 applications 間 copy-and-paste 的經驗, 就會了解這是一件多麼令人痛苦的事情.

由於不明原因, 每次我嘗試以上動作時, 得到的結果都不太一樣. 有時會如我所預期的貼上選取的文字, 有時候會貼上上一次選取的文字, 其他的時候我根本不確定我貼上的東西是從哪裡來的.

在 X applications 間 或 Emacs 的 buffer 之間 copy-and-paste 本是件容易的事情, 教人更難忍受怎麼混搭竟如此困難.

看到 這個 solution, 真是感動到眼淚都快掉下來. 如果你也有這個困擾, 請在你的 .emacs file 加上這兩行 code:


    (setq x-select-enable-clipboard t)
    (setq interprogram-paste-function 'x-cut-buffer-or-selection-value)
